When we speak about the matters of approaching women, or how to approach women, we invariably come up with the skill of conversation being integral to the skill of how to approach women successfully.

I've always been complimented at my ability to strike up conversation with anybody at any time about any subject - even when there is supposedly "nothing to talk about". It's a skill I have and in this write-up I will tell you the SIMPLE trick to my success.

The best way to spark a conversation is to ask questions. Too easy? Well, let me describe.

What do you ask questions about?

Well, I always just ask questions about anything I want to know. It differs from person to person. But typically if I am meeting someone new I would ask questions such as "Do you have brothers and sisters?" "Do you live with your parents?" "Do you have a lot of friends?"

Usually a person talks for a while when answering and that provides you more data to ask more questions about. Sometimes I will make a statement if it is appropriate or if they ask me a question in reply to my question I just answer their question then ask them a different one of my questions.

The tough times are when people just give you "yes" and "no" type answers. That doesn't leave much to work off of.

When I think the situation is awkward or the person isn't talking much (like the above "yes" and "no" responses), then I talk about how awkward the situation is. Tell something like "This is awful. I feel so awkward. I don't know what to speak. Do you feel awkward too?"

Usually you can get a little dialogue going on that topic and relieve a lot of tension just by acknowledging that you feel awkward and don't know what to say. Then go onto a question like "Ok, let's look at what we can discuss. What are your interests? Do you have any hobbies?"

Another questioning method is to pay attention to what a person puts their attention on and discuss or ask questions about that. So, for example, if you are in a cafe and the person you are dating isn't conversing much, just going through the menu, you might say "Kind of an interesting menu. What seems to be good to you?" That might spark a conversation about food or restaurants and menus, etc.

This method is also good for meeting strangers. If you are in a supermarket next to some one interesting who is staring at "lamb chops" you might say: "I see you are interested in the lamb chops. Do you know a good way to prepare them, I've always wanted to try them, but really don't know how to make them."

Remember also that you are not necessarily going to connect with everyone you meet. So if you try, try, and try to find a decent dialogue going and it doesn't happen then this is probably not the best person for you.
